The Monthly and MUBI are proud to announce a new partnership
The Monthly and MUBI are proud to announce a new partnership and the first of its kind for Schwartz Media, celebrating culturally significant content across cinema and journalism, with a limited-time subscription offer to both titles.
The Monthly, published 11 times a year, has asserted its position as an essential part of Australia's cultural landscape. Through considered, long-form journalism from the finest writers, the magazine has carved out a distinctive place, providing a nuanced and intellectual take on issues affecting the world.
MUBI, which launched in Australia in 2025, is a curated streaming service and film company dedicated to independent, foreign, arthouse and documentary cinema. They champion visionary films by iconic directors and emerging auteurs, showcasing new ideas and fresh perspectives.
Editor of The Monthly, Michael Williams, said: “The moment we take out a new subscription we’re making a choice about our year ahead – who we are, how we want to spend our time, and what will feed our best conversations. And people contain multitudes, so why not make it a double? Signing up for a year of great cinema and a year of great reading (not to mention some great reading about cinema) is the perfect deal. We at The Monthly love MUBI and couldn’t be more excited to be working together.”
The partnership allows both platforms to unlock new audiences, driving subscription revenue via avenues previously untapped, underscoring the cultural synergies between both brands.
From March 30, you can access a 20 per cent discount on The Monthly print magazine and MUBI.
